This session will illustrate how the selection of proper bone graft materials and manipulation of soft tissues to re-create normal anatomical features aid in achieving bone and soft-tissue support and stability. The session also will explain the biology of peri-implantitis and treatment modalities for its management.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss the importance of bone and soft-tissue support and stability for the long-term success of dental implants.
  2. Identify the selection criteria for appropriate bone graft material to enhance bone support and stability.
  3. Demonstrate techniques for manipulating soft tissues to re-create normal anatomical features and promote optimal soft-tissue support around dental implants.
  4. Comprehend the underlying biology of peri-implantitis and its impact on bone and soft tissue.
  5. Explore the various treatment modalities available for the management of peri-implantitis.
