This lecture will outline the complications that may occur with dental implants, discuss solutions and provide an outline of steps that clinicians should follow to prevent complications from occurring.

There will be a refreshment break from 2:30 - 3 p.m.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Recognize the five different types of complications that can occur with dental implants based on phase of treatment.
  2. Discuss the different surgical and biologic complications a clinician may encounter when treating a dental implant patient.
  3. Discuss the different restorative phases and mechanical complications that may occur.
  4. Identify the different esthetic complications that may occur and to be able to solve them with grafts or pink porcelain.
